PRINCIPLE #6 OF THE BLACK ELDERING BILL OF RIGHTS

  • Black Elders deserve to receive culturally responsive and compassionate training and education to enhance their digital and technological literacy.

  • Black Elders deserve free-and-low-cost access to broadband, digital, and assistive technologies that support older adults with maintaining their agency and independence while aging in place and community.

  • Black Elders deserve to have access to free and low-cost training and education, along with technological resources and services that protect Black Elders from the harms of dubious artificial intelligence companies, technological actors, and digital and online scammers.
